We visited right before Christmas in 2024. We had a really good time. This resort is clean, semi-modern, decent food and beverages. Pros: Bartenders were amazing, housekeeping was great, food was better than a few resorts we have been to. Pools were great, entertainment was fabulous, RIU pool parties were fabulous. |Cons: Service staff (not the kitchen/buffet) at La Baja California is very mean, and they couldn't give two f*#ks about anyone. Rude, ignorant, unhappy, unfriendly - like someone is forcing them to be there. They are either underpaid or over worked. El Torote staff is the same. Just ignorant. Service was poor at the restaurants. Overall a great experience minus the arrogant servers across all restaurants. Great value for money.

Five-Star Review for RIU Santa Fe||||My stay at RIU Santa Fe was absolutely wonderful! Everything about the experience was perfect, from the friendly and attentive staff to the immaculate facilities. Can’t wait to return!

Can’t say enough good things about this resort! Very clean, tons of options food wise, lots of pools, amazing drinks and fun parties! We went adults only but can’t wait to bring our kids next time and try out the kid areas. The beach was nice as well! December had perfect weather, sunny and 70, nights got a little chilly once the sunsets but it was just amazing!

Couples trip for my fiancé and I in December. Overall a good experience, newly renovated. Rooms were nice, pools were nice, restaurants were nice.||||Food was nothing to write home about but still decent. Definitely a younger crowd and can be a bit of a party spot. The doors in the buildings close extremely hard and are very loud, was woken up almost every night from either people being loud in the hallways or doors slamming. Air conditioner in our room was also extremely loud and woke us up every time it kicked in. ||||Service was excellent by all employees.

Riu Sante Fe…the Walmart of all Inclusive. What… that’s an I silt to Walmart. Riu Sante Fe…the Dollar General of all inclusive. I have been all over the world and this is by far the worst vacation experience I’ve had. They put us in a building that is 15 minute walk to the “restaurant” section. That’s in quotes because the food is discussing. The burgers are pink. Not because they’re rare- they are a salmon color throughout. Our room is on the fourth floor of the farthest building WITHOUT AN ELEVATOR!!! A friend we met her has a family of four and they put them in a room with two twin beds. |If you can afford any place else, go there!!! If this is all you can afford- I suggest you opt for a staycation and use the money to enjoy wherever it is you are from. |Run, run, run from this place!!!

We had a great time at the Riu Santa Fe. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were well maintained and the rooms clean. It was very much a party environment and a great time for our young adult kids. My only "con" was the dinner. The food was just "ok" at all restaurants.

I went into this trip fully aware of the reviews. I agree, food isn’t great, but it was fine. I’m reviewing the property based on how much I paid and comparing to more expensive all inclusive I have experienced. And for the price I think the resort as a whole is great. My room was close to the Riu parties so there was noise but it didn’t really bother me. The entertainment was good and the pools are great. Never had an issue finding a spot. You can really choose what vibe you are looking for, the pools by the ocean are more loud and lively and the pool closer into reception is quiet and more shady options. I had to request a blanket because the bedding is really a sheet not a duvet. They brought it within 45 mins. Another evening I had to ask for water because my drinks hadn’t been refilled. My room fridge / dispensers were not topped up the whole time I was there, 5 days. But you can request on the app easily and they will bring it.
