I’ve been to this airport twice in the last month-3 weeks later and the horrific parking situation has not changed a bit. The majority of the parking is in an unpacked gravel lot that is the Wild West of parking. There is no signage indicating where the airport is from the gravel “lot”.
This so called lot is a 7 minute walk (yes I timed it) from the terminal and has no lights, no cameras and no security. During the day I felt fine but on my return flight I get in at 10pm and taking that walk as a woman alone at night raises all kinds of safety issues.
While I was parking and walking to other fellow passengers out of nowhere expressed disgust at the horrible and unsafe parking environment.
The construction company Bradbury Stamm, seems to be the party responsible for this situation (you too can leave them a review on their Google business page).
They have multiple signs saying “use sidewalk to access terminal” or something to that effect, but there really is no sidewalk.
What could be construed as being a sidewalk has all these square yellow and black bumper things that are hard to navigate around with a suitcase.
A shuttle bus service to and from the gravel lot would go a long way to making this “lawsuit waiting to happen” situation better.
Once in the airport I found the employees, and general environment to be quite pleasant. The cafe was a little disappointing they served
my drink lukewarm and not completely mixed so their were large chunks of powder at the bottom.
One of the bathrooms in the airport has no hangers for purses or luggage which is not great.
As many before me have said: the parking situation is really dismal and I question why it has gone on so long in such a miserable fashion.

Completely different airport as compared to how it was 3 years ago. It is undergoing rapid growth, and serves a much more convenient option than driving to Albuquerque. Delays are not an issue due to 11 daily departures and it is an easy and quick facility to get around, with added amenities from the remodel.

I have seen this airport grow over the years. Yet it needs to grow more. They have a tremendous potential to grow into something big. There are cab services available and one car rental place at the airport.

Do not go here because there aren't any restaurants or anything at all to eat!! They do not care about regular folks unfortunate enough to be STUCK HERE. They don't care even if you are starving. They make you wait until right before your flight to go thru security, and they have zero food options, NOTHING to do except sit in very dirty and deplorable conditions. The bathrooms are unisex & dirty. The single soda machine even took my money without giving me a soda. SO, MY ADVICE IS AVOID THIS AIRPORT LIKE A PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give less than 1 star, I would. It's just the absolute WORST airport that I have ever been in! Words can not express how pathetic this airport is. Especially for a state capital. Shame on you guys, Santa Fe NM! You need to work hard to try to bring this airport up into the current century.

Parked on Christmas Day and parking was so full we had to park in an unpaved “airport lot”.5 miles from the terminal. To be safe, we left a geo tag in the car to assist with finding it when we returned. Upon returning, arrived at 9:30 pm and there was no lighting in the parking lot so our car could not be found in spite of a geo tag in the car. Asked security for assistance and was told no one could help because there was only one security guard on duty. While seeking other assistance the security guard laughed about it with another employee. This was the most frustrating and infuriating part of the whole ordeal. Finally called the police who assisted in locating our car. The parking lot was not lit, not paved, not managed and dangerous to walk in after dark. We will NEVER use this airport again.

My mother in law recently flew into the Santa Fe airport after a trip and came back to a dead car battery. Fortunately Raymond Acuna was on duty that evening and went above and beyond to help her get her car started and on her way. We are so thankful to him for his kindness and his assistance. It's a cozy airport!

Checking in and going through TSA on a Saturday afternoon in February was a breeze. Much, much faster than the bigger airports. Very friendly staff too!

We rented a car from Hertz at this airport. Everything went very smoothly for our trip upon our arrival and departure! I can't really think of anything I'd like to see different at this location. Santa Fe is obviously a very small location and so there won't be a ton of amenities at this airport. However, the service is great and the atmosphere was very friendly!
